2016 Gardens of House of Beor
I love growing things and flowers are at the top of the list here at Tarn Aeluin. This year the 2016 Gardens of House of Beor are especially prolific. The spring was certainly challenging for our Gardens with an early start and then a series of frosts. The hydrangeas were especially impacted. Roses have also been a problem. I’m just starting to get a few rose blooms now – very late for the season. Azaleas are especially impressive as are the lilacs here in our gardens and in Eastern Pennsylvania.
I hope you enjoy my flowers.
Later this summer will bring out the hostas, zinnias, phlox, and few others here at Tarn Aeluin’s gardens. Most of the native phlox is already out in the area, but for some reason mine is no where close to blooming. Not sure why. The spring was especially good for the bulbs. They really came out great this season. The azaleas also really stood out in terms of the amount of growth and flowers. Mild temperatures and not too much rain. Too much rain is actually bad and can cause harmful root rot in our area’s gardens.
